Wow, If it snows, you have your own snowplow. Somehow I do like the weirdness of these cars, although having one in Europe would be complete madness.

When fucking Volk wheels are already too much for european authorities, I don’t want to know how many BJs one must give to get one of these registered.

Haha, well that truely is one of the metaphors we used while trying to get our self built car approved.

What is wrong with Volk wheels in Europe?

Its more of a german thing. Last time I checked you couldn’t put them on a car because the they aren’t type approved by the TÜV. That means you have to individually federalize them which is expensive as fuck.

Well, German and Brits are known to have the most annoying check ups for cars I know of... Don’t worry though, my dear France is not far behind lol. As far as Germany goes, I’d be fine with it if I were to live there... Having no speed limit on roughly 70% of all freeways (50% unlimited 24/7, and 20% it depends on what tme) has a price...

Imagine Rota wheels collapsing into pieces at 270kmh...

Eh, a lack of speed limits gets tiring after a while, the road and wind noise alone will eventually make you decelerate to the recommended 130kph. I also imagine something like your RX-7 would need to be filled up every 50km if driven at high speed for extended periods of time. Not to mention the constant road works.

I go to Germany very often, I know how it is :)

I haven’t gotten tired of it yet. Yes, driving as fast as possible for long trips is very physically tiring (I do quite a few Munchen —> Koln with the occasionnal stop at the Nurburgring) exhausting even, but it’s the best way to be tired behind the wheel... You get exhausted because you’ve been overly attentive for 3 hours in a row and that’s a great feeling to me.

And yeah with the RX7 I’d need to fill up the 63L tank every 150km or so haha... But I always use rentals when I go to Germany. Not sure how much I use, but cruising at 200kmh gets me to fill up every 350km or so. It will change in a couple months though as I’m planning to bring my Mini to the Ring... I won’t have much choice bu to follow the recommend speed limit though. Top speed is 130kph :)

EDIT: And yes, Germans and those road works... damn... you guys have a lot lol

If it were a fad, it would have died long ago as it’s been over 30 years that Bosozokus exists. They were more focused on bikes before but still... nd no it’s never going to be exported... Outside of Japan, they would not drive 50 meters before getting stopped by a cop.. :)

Bosozokus are primarily bike gangs. Cars are actually secondary...
